Evolving Messari's brand identity through motion, custom iconography, and in-product illustration to educate digital asset investors.
With a wide suite of crypto data products and an extensive research arm, Messari is working to build the tools and infrastructure needed to help institutions and investors navigate the crypto economy with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

During my time at Messari, I was the primary designer on the brand marketing team. After working together with Gretel on a refreshed brand identity, it was my responsibility to take the work we did together and flesh out the identity in-house across all marketing and brand touch points. This work spanned marketing collateral, campaign assets, product illustration, web design, and motion.

I was responsible for building and iterating brand guidelines, maintaining asset libraries, and providing design support to our product and research teams. I also contributed cross-functionally to the product team across design systems, UI components, interaction, and data visualization.

Throughout the brand system, we utilized angularity as a recurring theme to provide continuity with the sharpness of our logomark. This pattern is seen in geometric visual elements, containers, and custom iconography that reinforce the brand identity across digital and in-product experiences.
